And here is Mako and Bolin's opponent.
While Korra faced off against Prince Hilik on Air Temple Island and Asami lead the dogfight above. Mako and Bolin fought on the ground with the majority of the city's defenders. The Energy Empire attacked from the mainland, leading their ground forces was a most unusual Energy Bender bearing physical characteristics of a beast a stigma that had scarred his flesh and soul. Shou was his name.
Mako and Bolin engaged Shou when the Energy Benders smashed into the city's primary defence line, for a while the bending brothers held there own against Shou even repelled him a few times but Shou kept returning and each time more feral than the last. The battle had looked the most grim when the defenders finally had their backs pushed against the final defence line, but fate takes a swing when Jinora, Ikki, Meelo and Rohan arrive just in time with a horde of Spirits to aid the defenders. With the tables turned Mako, Bolin, Lin and their comrades quickly pushed back the surprised attackers. But once again fate takes another swing, Shou's desolate gaze fell upon Aye Aye Spirit whom in ancient times was the one responsible for his disfiguring.
Few in their lives could conjure the hate Shou felt that day, the lights on his armour that normally glowed blue to display energy flow glowed an angry red, his corrupt flesh also reddened and his one spirit changed eye became green and lifeless. Aye-Aye spirit, Mako and Bolin watched on in horror as Shou's hatred transformed him into a dark spirit, now more relentless and bestial than ever can Mako, Bolin and Aye-Aye Spirit stop Shou!?

Bet the Aye-Aye is really regretting turning people into primate-human freaks now.
